Every day

Please can your child have their reading book and planner in school every day. Feel free to use it as a means of talking to me or asking any questions.

Monday and Tuesday

Please can all P.E. kits be brought in for the week and stay in school. While we are timetabled to have P.E. on Monday and Tuesday, we also have may have one off P.E. events.

For P.E., please can you ensure that long hair is tied back and earrings have been taken out.

We expect your child to read each evening. Please record their progress in their planner. House points are awarded if your child reads and writes a diary entry. Children will also be given spelling homework each week.

Please encourage your child to learn their spellings. Each week we have a small spelling test.

Children are expected to learn their times tables, which are all in their planners.

A topic project will also be set each term. A letter will be sent out so that you know how to help your child. Our topic currently is: what happens to the food we eat? Information for this can be found on the project letter your child has brought home.

This term your child could:

  • make a poster about healthy food or activitiesOR
  • find a healthy recipe to make and write up
  • All ideas are welcome

We are not afraid to dream too big. Nothing is impossible. When you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything.
