Every day

Please can your child have their reading book and planner in school every day. Feel free to use it as a means of talking to me or asking any questions.

Monday and Wednesday

Please can children remove all jewellery. Children can come to school wearing their P.E. kits on Monday and Wednesday.

For P.E., please can you ensure that long hair is tied back and earrings have been taken out.

We expect your child to read each evening. Please record their progress in their planner. House points are awarded if your child reads and writes a diary entry. Children will also be given spelling homework each week.

Please encourage your child to learn their spellings. Each week we have a small spelling test.

Children are expected to learn their times tables, which are all in their planners.

All children in Year 3 should know their x2 x5 x10 and they need to learn their x3 x4 x8, including the division facts.

A topic project will also be set each term. Our topic currently is: Why do people choose to go to the Mediterranean? Our current topic is to plan a healthy Mediterranean meal and write the recipe and write/show how you have made the recipe. For this, you could get 100 house points. Alternatively, if you would like to create a model of a Mediterranean landmark, out of a cardboard cereal box, and write facts about it that might get you 100 house points too! Have fun and be creative. We look forward to seeing all of your amazing projects.

We are not afraid to dream too big. Nothing is impossible. When you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything.
